The camp surroundings

Located in the heart of the dune areas of Western Sahara, our Bedouin Camp is located a few kilometers away from the main road connecting north-south Agadir to Laayoune and Dakhla (and later Mauritania).

To the west, the first true dunes can be reached on foot, since only 3 kms from the Camp. Opportunities of walks (alone or with our guide) are endless. The Atlantic Ocean and its pristine beaches are only fifteen kilometers as the crow flies.

North, the depression called Oum Dba, that borders the Camp, includes the Mount Gara with its caves and its particular vegetation and a salt exploitation of modest size. Again, many possibilities for hiking on the cliffs or in the bottom of the depression. Further,  Amgriou, which is now accessible by road from Tarfaya, is a typical fishing villge just outside of time,
where people collect algae.

To the east, you can go to a well where
camels come to drink . A few kilometers more and you will discover the vast sebkha of Tah, with its stunning cliffs and lunar landscapes.

To the south is the garrison city of Laayoune, with its airport and its non-touristic souks .
